Saint Agnes Medical Center is a 436 bed acute care hospital with the only comprehensive heart & vascular service line in the San Joaquin Valley.
The service line consists of Cardiovascular Diagnostic Services, Cardiac Catherization Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, Cardiovascular Recovery Area, Cardiac Rehab and Heart Failure Coordinator. The entire service line supports 94 FTEs. The average D2B times for the last 12 months is 59 minutes, well below the national benchmark of 90 minutes.
Cardiac Catheriziation Lab, Interventional Radiology, Cardio Vascular Recovery Area and Cardiac Rehab are managed daily by Registered Nurse Practice Coordinators. CVDS is managed by a Lead Tech. These positions are managed by a Nurse Manger which is under the supervision of the Heart & Vascular Services Director.
The following procedures that are performed at SAMC include Diagnostic & Interventional Angiography, Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), Electrophysiology Studies (EPS), EP Ablations, Peripheral Revasculartions, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA) repair and Structural Heart Procedures.
In April 2014, SAMC became the first hospital in the region to offer Trans Aortic Valve Repair (TAVR) procedures and has since performed 36 cases. There are 3 Cath Lab suites and 2 Interventional Radiology suites.
We also have a fourth Cath Lab suite, which is a Cath Lab Hybrid Suite specializing in TAVR, EP and peripheral procedures.
